Mom Kristina: What to pack for a preschool camp?
In just a few days, my little daughter will be leaving for a nature kindergarten trip. So we started packing her suitcase together. It was quite a process, but also great fun. Thanks to this, Annie can now easily find her way around her own belongings.
When choosing clothes and other items, I followed the teacher’s instructions. At the same time, I also had to respect my daughter’s wishes. At five years old, she already has her own opinions and insists on choosing her clothes herself.
The checklist from Mama Labels was incredibly helpful. I simply downloaded it from the website and printed it out. When packing with a small child, there isn’t much room for calm focus, so the checklist gave me peace of mind that I wouldn’t forget anything important.
What worked well for us to pack
Small children get dirty or wet easily. Sometimes accidents can still happen… That’s why I recommend packing more of everything:

- 8x underwear
- 2x pajamas
- 8x socks
- 3x short-sleeved T-shirts
- 3x long-sleeved T-shirts
- 3x sweatshirts or sweaters
- 5x sweatpants or leggings
- 1x waterproof pants
- 4x shorts
- 1x jacket
It’s a good idea to pack two sun hats, as they tend to get lost. Depending on the weather, you can also add a light hat and a neck warmer or scarf. Don’t forget a raincoat and possibly a swimsuit. Besides clothes, shoes, and hygiene items, it’s useful to pack insect repellent, a flashlight, a stuffed toy, small games, writing supplies, and a bag for dirty laundry. Water bottles are also easy to lose or break, so pack a spare. Remind your little traveler to rinse it every day and leave it open to dry.
How to make sure children don’t mix up their belongings and bring them back home?

I solved this easily with stickers and iron-on labels. My daughter was absolutely thrilled with the clothing labels and small name labels featuring her favorite little duck. She also loved the shoe labels with a kitten. She labeled all her clothes and shoes herself. She also marked her favorite bedtime plush toy, her picture book, and her water bottles. The stickers are waterproof and durable, so you don’t have to worry about them being damaged by use, washing, or laundry.
At Mama Labels, you can get name labels for marking clothes, shoes, slippers, and other items that need to be packed for a nature kindergarten trip. Thanks to them, children can easily recognize their belongings and are very likely to bring them back home. The stickers also make things easier for the teacher, as she can quickly see which items belong to which child.
Wishing you a smooth and stress-free departure for the nature kindergarten trip,
Mom Kristina
