The story of Mama Labels began in 2015, when our children started going to kindergarten. As parents, we constantly dealt with lost clothes and toys after returning from kindergarten—and later, with half-empty suitcases after coming back from camps or school trips.
The amount of clothing and items that needed to be labeled with our children’s names kept growing. That’s why we decided to ditch smudging markers and create a way for ourselves—and other parents—to label things simply, effectively, and in a way that excites both kids and teachers!
Thanks to our experience in producing stickers for cyclists, we quickly handled the technical side. We found two wonderful graphic designers, Monika and Ilona, who lovingly design all our products.
We were thrilled to see how much parents and children liked our products—and how truly helpful they were! Of course, we couldn’t stop there. We began thinking about what else we could offer families. Today, our stickers can decorate (not only) children’s rooms, help organize entire households, or assist loved ones in labeling their belongings—whether for a move to a senior home or a trip to a spa.

Meet Our Talented Graphic Designer
Monika
My name is Monika Beitlová, and I’ve been working with Mama Labels as a graphic designer and illustrator since the company was founded. Back then, I specialized in vector illustrations—usually created at a desk with a computer and mouse, with only the first sketches drawn by pencil on paper.I’ve created dozens of designs for different kinds and shapes of stickers for children (and their parents). Then our paths split for a while.
The Mama Labels brand has grown in the meantime, and we welcomed our third child. By the time I was able to return to the collaboration, Ilona was already sketching the first designs for large wall stickers. That truly excited me, and I finally got myself an iPad and took my digital illustration another step forward. It meant I could draw in a way very similar to using pencil or pen on paper, and I was no longer tied to a desk — I could create from the couch or even in a café.
I enjoy the variety of themes, and thanks to my son, I’m learning to appreciate cars and cranes — I can even tell the difference between an excavator and a loader now! :) But what I love drawing most are animals and plants. I hope there will be plenty of room in the future to create sticker designs for older kids and adults too, especially with nature-inspired themes.
To balance out the digital work, I regularly attend a painting and drawing course where I’m learning to work with oil paints. I also try to make time for my favorite mediums — watercolor and ink. I love learning new techniques, trying out different courses and tutorials, and I hope that never changes, because that’s what drives me forward and helps me improve.
